Bucky Goldstein started playing guitar at age 13 when he received his first axe for his Bar Mitzvah. He grew up listening to his dad’s Conway Twitty and Buddy Holly records and playing 8 hours a day led to his proficiency in playing every Yngwie Malmsteen lick known to man, but for some reason, he was in an indie rock band when he met “Poppa” John Tucker. It didn’t take long before he realized he couldn’t play guitar badly enough to stay in that genre.

“Poppa” John and Bucky would hang out at the coffee shop he worked at, and over a particularly good cinnamon roll and milkshake, the duo decided to record a few of the country demos he’d been making on the side. The result was the CD “Can’t Put You Down”, released in 1999.

After finding a few other folks to play live shows, Bucky and “Poppa”John left their other bands to pursue Sodajerk full time…….and the rest is history!
