| September 25 2005 Sodajerk is going bi-city! "Poppa" John will be heading off to Atlanta to set up shop there, and the Jerk plans on hitting all the cities in between. Once we're up and running, be on the lookout for more shows as we intend to hit the road hard! And all you Pittsburgh folk, we'll see you at the "Farewell For Now" weekend...  November 6 2005 Well, we're getting settled in down here in the dirty dirty.....Bucky has dropped by for a couple of days and we're slowly fleshing out our future Sodajerk plans. Atlanta is a toddlin' little town and Bucky and I are both anxious to get to work. As you read this, Bucky and Dirk are laying down guitar tracks for not one but TWO records that we hope to release this year.....more on that later! Stay tuned to the website for more news! Well, our "Farewell for Now" weekend is over....thanks to everyone who came out to the 31st Street Pub and the Southside Works (and stood in the rain). Sodajerk also sends out a HUGE thanks to Jim Payne, who filled in on bass for the last several shows, learned ALOT of tunes in a short time and really kicked ass! Thanks Jim! Well, I've got a truck to pack, and I'll be off to Hotlanta.....stay tuned right here to keep up on the goings on as we write a new chapter in the Sodajerk story. Ciao! Well, I've been enjoying it here in the dirty south, and Bucky will be in on Saturday. We've already booked some Son of the Jerk shows here in town and starting in January, the full band shows will start up again. I can tell you we're ALL itchy to play. In the meantime, all you Atlanteans can pick up our discs at Decatur CD's, Ella Guru CD's and Criminal Records. Kudos to Decatur CD's for putting us into store rotation!

January 24 2006 Hey folks......just ol' PJT here to let everyone know that the shows this weekend in Atlanta and Nashvegas went great......thanks to everyone involved and all those who came out and helped us rock the house, we had a blast. Hopefully Dirk and Slim Jim will be down in the ATL soon so we can start moving in a positive Jerk direction.

The winner of the competition gets to perform at the Bonnaroo festival this year in Tennesee alongside such acts as Tom Petty, Elvis Costello and Beck. WE NEED YOUR VOTES!

The Cogburns! Look for the newest CD (we swear, it's coming!) tentatively titled "Sodajerk II" to be out on the label soon. Speaking of soon, get ready for the new southern face of The Jerk to start hitting the bars in your hometown....as soon as the new recruits are ready, that is. Stay tuned for more! Well, tonight marks a milestone in Jerkland.......we've finished the LAST track for the forthcoming "Sodajerk II" record. I'll be winging up to Pittsburgh this Friday to start mixing this monster, and we should have it out in time for the holidays. Trust us, THIS one's worth the wait! Ciao!  June 29 2006 Well, the time has come for Bucky and I to introduce some new faces in the Jerk camp: Introducing Ben Drankin (on guitar) and Blake Parris (on bass). We're now officially half northern and half southern! Check out the live dates 'cuz we're comin' atcha live (as Tesla once said!) Much thanks and gratitude to Dirk Miller and Jim Payne for all their hard work in the name of Sodajerk, and if one day they decide to venture south, I'm sure our paths will cross again........Viva la Jerque!!!
 November 27 2006 Hey there folks! Thanks to all the supportive folks who came out to Eddie's Attic to cheer us on in the 25th Semi Annual Songwriter Shootout. To quote the Big Lebowski, we "rolled our way into the semis", making it to the final four......but stopped short of the finals. Still, all in all it was great fun and we got to see tons of great artists.
Now, on to the future.....we'll be rocking the Star Bar this Saturday the 2nd for a Think Pink benefit show, benefitting breast cancer research. Joining us will be Red Rocket Deluxe and Big City Burlesque.....a guaranteed good time for all, and all for a good cause!
On the CD news front, the new disc is now in the mastering phase, so be looking for Sodajerk II very soon!
Happy New Year to all you folks from Bucky, Ben, Blake and myself.....now that the holidays are over, on to business! "Sodajerk II" is nearing completion, and should be out around March....but in the meantime the 2nd Sodajerk Fan Club CD is on it's way out the door....be sure to sign up in the "General Store" section for just $5.00 a year (Them's 2006 prices!) Check out the "Shows" section.....we're remaining busy campers and are having a great time meeting new folks in different cities. To our Pittsburgh friends......look for us in April! Ciao! We're almost done with the Atlanta leg of the "Sodajerk 2" CD release. Thanks to everyone who helped out. Now, it only seems fitting to get up to the ol' Burgh and do this thing properly. 2009 marks our 10th anniversary, and Bucky and I are combing through the archives to bring you some rare Jerk treats for a special CD. We're also heading into the studio to fry up some new stuff........so people, get ready!  June 25 2007 It seems Robbie Fulks had the good taste to wear a genuine Sodajerk "Lumpy Dog" shirt at his stop at Club Cafe in Pittsburgh on June 22nd. What wonderful taste! And if we can make a humble suggestion, if you don't own anything by Robbie, get to the record store! Well, it's been 8 years.....but Bucky and I are taking a little time off from Sodajerk.
